It is largely affected by California’s cold currents, which pass through various gaps through the coastal natural mountain barrier.  Judging from the precipitation, this means that there is a clear season in the Bay Area. Winter is about 82% of the annual precipitation in the area from November to March of the following year. In the southern bay and beyond, although the winter is cool and gentle, the summer is characterized by warm sunny days.  In San Francisco and the area near the Golden Gate Strait, the summer will be periodically exposed to foggy Road section.

Along the Golden Gate Strait, the sea breeze and mist from the Pacific Ocean can penetrate the inland mountain barrier into the Bay Area.  In the summer, the rising hot air in the inland valley of California forms a low-pressure zone, introducing high-pressure winds from the North Pacific into the Golden Gate, thus forming a unique cool wind and mist in the city.  During this period, the small climate phenomenon BUY LEAD was the most obvious, with the fog penetration in the area near the Golden Gate Strait reaching the maximum,  and the southern bay and farther inland areas were sunny and dry.
