While the Ryzen 7 9700X is a solid processor, I feel like AMD stole a page from Intel’s playbook and made fewer improvements than they could have.

The AMD Ryzen 7 9700X comes in a similar package to its Ryzen 7000 series predecessors, with a minimalist design that features few details. The box features a 7 label, and a small cutout on the top lid allows you to see the processor itself.

Overall, the packaging looks good country email list and is functional. It is worth noting that AMD does not include a cooler in the package, so you will have to purchase one separately, which increases the cost of acquisition.

Technical characteristics of the equipment

The Ryzen 7 9700X is a mid-range desktop processor from AMD’s latest Ryzen 9000 series, built on the new Zen 5 architecture. This architecture promises up to 16% more IPC (operations per clock) compared to Zen 4, resulting in definition of supply chain management better performance at similar clock speeds. One of the key factors behind this improvement is the move to a more advanced 4nm process compared to the 5nm used in the previous generation. This not only improves efficiency, but also helps control temperatures.

The Ryzen 7 9700X has eight cores and 16 threads with a base clock of 3.8 GHz and a boost clock of up to 5.5 GHz (100 MHz more than the previous Ryzen 7 7700X), while maintaining a surprisingly low TDP of 65 watts. This is a fresh list significant reduction from its predecessor’s TDP (105 watts), and is especially noticeable in a market where power consumption is on the rise. The Ryzen 7 9700X’s lower TDP also means that a good air cooler should be enough to keep its temperatures in check.
